Two year old right off the roost. Exact same scenario as one I killed last year. Birds rooster in same spot, flew down into pasture, milled around for a couple minutes, and started to head towards the "refuge pasture" next door...I was waiting for him! I did call a few times, so maaaybe I had something to contribute besides knowing these birds tendencies. He was with 4 jakes and half dozen hens.

Congrats.

I've heard 1 gobble this morning. He was a ways off on the side of the property I'm not allowed to hunt. I may talk to my land owner here in a little bit to see if he'll let me go over there.

Awesome man, congrats.
Honestly I don't think I have ever had one fly down and me kill him like right then.

Glad it worked out for you. Love it when a post is followed through with a kill pic... You got em figured out
