No, didn't get to shoot it more, but I got some of the no-mar tape and also made a strap using camouflage duct tape and screwed it in just like you would a regular strap. The new englander seems a bit more ready.... did not have enough tape in one roll to cover the whole gun, and it wouldn't stick well to the forestock anyway.

Thanks all

as you use it and the tape gets nicks and cuts. watch it carefully. it will trap moisture.

Says on the packaging that if it gets wet, remove the tape and dry the gun. So if it rains while I hunt I guess it's pretty much screwed.... would rather take all the tape off than have a rusty gun.

lol oh yeah. Actually got it done before work but then stayed up till after 11:59 and posted in the countdown thread.

just to throw it out.....there are some very good and easy ways to paint a gun. not sure if you wanna go that far with yours but you can make one look really good for pretty cheap with paint

i am not talking about just spraying it on either there are other easy techniques to make it actually look really nice.

Will be doing that eventually most likely. Got to learn how to completely disassemble and re-assemble the gun first so I can spray all the parts. Right now I only know how to take off the barrel and put it back on.
