Got out my hunting bow

I've been shooting my "target" bows only since Nov. I plan to turkey hunt with a bow some this year so I broke out my Drenalin this afternoon. Pins are still dialed in out to 60yds and it felt great. I like the 5 pin sight even though I've never shot at an animal with anything other than the top pin :D

Tomorrow evening I'll pop my blind up in the backyard and shoot out the windows a bit.

My first shot at 30yds I did use my top pin since I'm so accustomed to using a single pin for 3D/target :whistle:
 
Good idea Scott.

I like to set a decoy at 20yds facing my blind.
 
Sweet, I wish I could shoot my bow. It has been over a week and Dickson Sportsman hasn't gotten my cam in yet. I have also heard to drop the poundage down for turkey hunting. I haven't been turkey hunting before, but I heard with a bow there can be long periods at full draw.

And for less KE so inturn hopefully, less pass throughs.
 
It's not the holding weight, it's the awkward angles you have to draw. Sitting in a blind or on the ground can make drawing tougher. I can draw my bow at dead level sitting flat on my butt with it at 70lbs. I still drop it to ~64lbs when it's time to hunt just in case.
 
I tried that at my current draw weight and couldn't do it, but how am I to get stronger. I believe that once a desired draw weight is reached than one should be able to draw that weight from all positions. I am trying to build up strength so I can't pass the sitting on my butt test.
 
I drove out to my hunting area to setup my portable blind and broke a rod near the hub......... bummer. I can't set the blind up without all of the rods installed , so I just cleared out an area hoping to get another blind up . :(
 
I have a blind you can borrow if you need it. It's a hunters specialties 10/10 blind.
