Grand Junction

I have one funky 9pt. Mainly 120sh 8 pts. Would love to get a 10 or better. I passed an 8 that was probably around 18" spread last December so hopefully he's still in the area.

Love grand junction! One of the bars has a bar that was in some historical western dudes bar . I think it came from one of the Dakotas.

As someone from outside the CWD zone (for now) im encouraged by your enthusiasm to travel to an area where every deer has tested positive since 2019 and your still traveling there in search of a mature buck...I understand CWD is not good....but it's nice to hear a real world report from someone who has hunted in the center of the zone....good luck on your trip....hope you kill the big 10pt your looking for.

Well one more morning hunt to go. So far very little rut activity noticed. My guess is the overall herd die off 20-25% based on last 2 years sightings. I have passed on 3 8's. All were 2 year old deer 100-110". Wish cwd didn't exist because I'd love to thump a couple does for meat but don't have time to fool with it.

The main reason is it's a farm a family member owns. I wouldn't travel to cwd land outside of that.
