My 12 year old grandson missed juvy this year and had so many activities we have not been able to make a trip until today. We planned the afternoon after church and set up on a field I've been watching for the opportunity. We called up a hen that circled us twice and then heard him gobble on his way in. He put on the show strutted all the way to 30 yards where Lake made the 20 gauge bite! 11 inch beard with 1 1/8 sharp spurs at 3 pm on a windy Sunday afternoon.
