I was not paying attention and posted this in the incorrect forum yesterday:

Been researching crossbows for months now and couldn't make up my mind until a friend steered me towards a Barnett Jackal. Reviews are high, accuracy and speed seem not to be lacking either. Initially thought I would be spending $800-1,200. Today found the Jackal in a kit form for $243 with free shipping on Amazon. Couldn't resist so ordered one so the wife and I can practice and be ready for archery season next year.

I just ordered a PSE Fang 350. Wanted a good xbow that didn't break the bank. It was $308 shipped.

Bought one this season also. First crossbow I have ever owned. I really like it! The scope that came with it was junk, and the bolts weren't that great, so I replaced them and put some meat in the freezer! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine! Good luck.
