I end up talking about this every year and try and give some tips (I'm no pro at it). It's amazing how much more you appreciate great photos years later vs some of the ones I see people take (not so much on here but FB is loaded with crappy pics)

I've always felt I owe it to the turkey to try and capture his beauty the best I can and take pride in getting what I consider good photos. Take the time and you will appreciate it in the long run.

Dave Owens hits on a lot of the stuff I do and a lot of the times I'm just using an iPhone camera when I'm hunting solo.

Saw that today and almost skipped over it, but decided to let it play. Glad I did, enjoyed it & learned quite a bit.

thought I would bump this thread with the season being so early. Dave really hits a lot of easy things to follow on taking pics of harvested kills even wet birds.

Good video... several great points....thanks for sharing.

Hadn't thought about setting the turkey up on your knee....the example he shared really showed the bird off nicely.

I really appreciate good photography and I agree it's worth taking the time....looking back you'll never regret having nice pics.

That's funny I thought about your past posts here about taking pics when I stopped to take a pic of my bird in the creek on Saturday. I don't always stop to take a "good" pic, but I couldn't pass up that opportunity when I crossed the big holler.

I've been reviewing this this morning. The issue that I have is that I'm generally always alone and an iPhone only has a 10 second timer.

I am a picture person for sure. No matter who kills a deer or turkey, I am adamant in many, many photos. Our guys start rolling their eyes at me, but they know how I am 😁. Thanks for posting
