I saw 11 deer . 10 does and a small buck . I had shots at 8 of them , but I'm holding out for a nice buck because I don't need the meat (I'm moving and selling my freezer)
I got down at 10:15 am and was packing my grunt tube into my fanny pack when 3 does trotted by at 20 yards panting heavily . I knew they were being chased by a buck so I slowly nocked an arrow and waited . Sure enough a little buck was bird dogging them. None of the deer even knew I was there as I knelt down by the tree .
I was anxious to check my trail cam as I saw it flash about 100 yards before I passed it this morning. I had a picture of the small buck on it as well as several pictures of a decent buck along with a picture of a buck fight that I'll post on the deer forum.
It was a great morning to be in the woods . I'll miss hunting in Tn.

Cool. I had a good morning too. I saw 15, but can only tell you what 12 of them were. Shot at a doe but hit a limb and I watched the arrow dive to the left and go right behind her.

I had a similar morning. 7 does, 3 small bucks.

only got to hunt the afternoon on Saturday because my PC crashed and I worked on it until 11 pm and finished saturday morning. I saw 6 saturday afternoon, one was a nice buck but I ran out of light before he gave me a good angle. I guess I could have taken the 'head on TV shot'. :rolleye:

Sounds like you had a great morning! As far as your freezer, how big is it and how much you want for it?

The freezer is sold .

Thanks , I'm heading out Sunday . I'll miss my home and friends here in TN. I have enjoyed meeting and hunting with many of you guys from the forum. For those I didn't have a chance to meet , this forum has given me a chance to get to know each person .
Happy (blood) trails,
Scott

P.S. Little did I know when I wrote this thread , that It would be my last hunt in Tn. I guess it was a fitting end to the time I spent in the Tn. woods chasing deer with a stick n' string . I hope to come back again to hunt with friends.
