I have been very blessed this year to have had a very successful turkey season and to be able to enjoy with many good friends and a few strangers, some of whom are on Tndeer.. My season started on March 28 at Fort Campbell and ended May 2 at the fort..
2800+ miles later, kept track on my odometer, I was able to fill my tags in 3 states, be apart of of helping others fill their tags(some of whom I didn't meet until that day) and had several firsts for myself... Got to hunt 2 counties in TN that I had never hunted before, Lincoln and Humphries. Hunted LBL for the first time and also hunted Indiana for the first time. The best part is that I got to meet some new people who I think I can call friends now... After many years of mostly hunting alone, or taking someone occasionally, I have found it very rewarding to hunt with others and just getting to know new people.. All this wouldn't be possible without a very understanding wife, God couldn't of given me a better one, and family!!!! Looking forward to next year. Hopefully get to hunt with some of you guys again and maybe get to meet some new people again.
I have learned over the years a bird doesn't have to be shot in order to have a successful hunt!!!!!!

Actually I have not had the birds the last 2 yrs like I have had in the past on the places near you... I believe there are a couple reasons for this which I will not get into here.....I hunted 3 days down your way and decided I needed to move on.. I had invites to hunt in Humphreys and Lincoln Cos and decided to do so.... Ended up hunting LBL some as well... Enjoyed seeing new ground... Lincoln Co is one of the most beautiful places I have ever hunted.....

Congrats, sounds like lots of good times. A lot of wisdom in your last sentence! What area of Lincoln did you hunt?

All I know is my friend told me we were close to Bedford Co.....I think.
Ha! You was down pretty close to my neck of the woods. I'm up in the northeast corner close to Bedford and Moore just off Chestnut Ridge. Pretty country for sure, glad you enjoyed it.

That is hilly country right there.
