Found a half eaten rabbit under an arborvitae tree next to our house. Wasn't there the day before and appears to be fresh. I checked the area and didn't find any blood or fur.
Thoughts on what did this, coyote? fox?
Chupacabra
That rabbit ain't laughing.
Had a half eaten young turkey last summer that looked same in middle of road. Figured I ran hawk off with tractor.Bird of prey maybe got disturbed during the time of eating and left.
I've experienced it firsthand numerous times while out with some of my falconer buddies. The hawk would take a squirrel out of a tree and the first thing it would eat 99.9% time was the jaw/cheek, neck areaI found one a couple years ago in my in-laws flower bed with just the head gone.
The general consensus here was an Owl.
