Halloran twisted sister

Found a fairly new Twisted Sister pot in a HS strut pot cover in the middle of the forest road a few days ago. First thing I did was check the immediate area for a dead, head shot fanning commander. Was hoping to maybe get a gun and wallet to go with the call :) I'm a slate guy and don't have much experience with glass/crystal playing surfaces. What's a decent striker to run this call with.
 
Nice find, send it back to me now, along with my fan that was in the bushes to the left of it..... :)

Any purpleheart striker will make it sing well enough to kill a turkey, and a lot of guys rave about the Halloran purpleheart and the Halloran Ipe striker on it. Hooks Calls also sell an Ipe striker that some prefer on the TS.
 
10-4 I've got a Fred Cox dymondwood that runs it pretty good. Also my Halloran hickory flairtip sounds decent. I have an assortment of purpleheart strikers I'll have to dig up and try. Ocoee Ridge Runner, how's the hunting been down there.
 
Got one opening weekend. Been trying to get my uncle his first bird ever since. We have been on gobbling birds but haven't got it done...yet.
 
My favorite on the TS would be one piece IPE
2nd would be his 2 piece Macassar Ebony.

I'm not a big diamond wood fan. It gives off a screeching sound that I don't care for.
Purpleheart works well with it and takes some of the rasp out of the call.

Which snakewood are you running. Just picked up one from Fres Cox that sounds crazy good

Mine is a Larry Gesser (spelling). It's my favorite striker by far.

Thanks fellers. Dug up a two piece purpleheart I had got with a Lonzo pot. I've settled on it for now. Will run way down low with good popping clucks and solid breaking yelps. I like it :)
