Handgun on WMA during bow season legal???

Not sure about a WMA but you can carry on private land with a carry permit during bow season.

Not sure during bow season but i did watch a twra officer right a guy a ticket once and take his gun because he was carring a concealed weapon because barrel was under 5in and he had full metal jacket bullets in the gun he said he would have been fine in barrel was long enough and the right ammo and it was on a wma. The guy was a oak ridge security officer so he had a carry permit

If you have your TN HCP, you are fine to carry on WMA's during bow season. You cannot however use the weapon to shoot or kill any game animals under any circumstances. -not sure about the FMJ rounds, but have never seen anything to suggest otherwise.

I have been checked by TWRA officers while carrying, but never asked to see the weapon or ammo.

Not trying to be smart, but why would anyone carry fmj rounds. They sound cool from what you see on movies. For a pistol FMJ will not perform unless they hit bone in which they'll only punch a hole through bone. It's kinda like shooting a field tip into a deer.
