Morning was textbook.... seriously up across an open field from what sounded like a great bird.... fly down at 620, the 'great' bird covered 200 yds and was in our lap by 622. Ethan couldn't shoot till the super jake had completely destroyed the decoys full gobbling the whole time at 18 yards. One he got bored, he moved away far enough for Ethan to pile him up.

17lb super jake with 3/8 nubs and 5 in beard

Now dad's turn.... Ethan wanted to explore the farm with Grandad, so I left solo. Covered a ton of ground by car and by foot only striking one gobbler that led me on a wild goose chase for hours.... I finally lost him and ate lunch at 2... headed out this eve to drop off Ethan's carcass and try to roost birds for the morn... dropped the carcass, then struck a bird with a series of cutts. Looped away from the gator and got set up... 2 young birds came in on a string and only 1 left.

2yo bird with 10.5in beard and 1/2 in spurs.. heavy for his age.

Can't do pics on thus cellphone... not tech savvy enough. Good luck to all again tomorrow!
