What years did TWRA change the number of birds you can tag a season??

Not sure but I expect them to be changed next year. They need to go to 2 birds statewide with the possibility of a bonus bird on quota hunts.

I think the 2011 season was the first year, but not 100% sure

I believe it has always been 4 birds. Back in the 90s you could kill 2 in the county and 2 had to be killed on a WMA I believe.

Thanks! I was looking at harvest trends since 2006 and trying to see when this correlation happened.

late 90s it was 3, then jump to 4 in 2000. and added fall hunts hen killing and such when turkeys were everywhere, by 05 to 07 turkeys numbers started going down hill. Now in 18, just few spots still have a few birds in southern wayne co.
