In my neck of the woods. Have seen a couple gobblers cruising but not much talking. Have seen quite a few nesting hens so figured it is not henned up only that I'm dealing with. The woods are getting thick so maybe change my tactics but it's a different ball game from 2 weeks ago. Good luck to the die hards sticking with it!

I've only heard one bird on 3 farms over the past week. had 5 just 2 weeks ago. 1 bird did get killed yesterday while I was hunting. he gobbled about 4 times on the roost, once on the ground then 2 minutes later I hear BOOM from where he was. Not a bird after that and today.

It's weed out week. From here forward is this veterans favorite time of the season. Googans gone and the woods are empty

Different type of gobblers! This is a a kid-friendly forum
I didn't mean to not be kid friendly. I was talking about "cruising" which I associate with classic cars. I always found it humorous when people say they saw bucks cruising. I wondered how they knew the buck wasn't just moving from feeding area to bedding area or something of the sort. Now "cruising" has made it's way into the turkey forum.
