Whether you shot one or not. I don't consider a kill a success, I just want to be in the game.
I'd say a typical opening day for me, maybe a little worse. Heard I think three, after fly down as usual they stopped gobbling. Hens of course. But wind picked up bad about 8. Usually I'd stay in the woods with em until chores or wife called, but with the wind and I knew they had hens so instead of roaming aimlessly through the timber I went home.
They will be ready to be killed soon enough.
