Good afternoon. My name is Aaron also known as Dblaarchery on here. I miss being a part of Tndeer so I thought I'd reach back out to all you fellow hunters. I am headed into Catoosa for the gun hunt and have no clue where to even start. I have been visiting the area, Whitewater kayaking for years, but thought if there's any body that could help me out I would appreciate it. If you don't want to answer on here, you can direct message me. Thank you very much. I appreciate all of you and I'm glad to be back on Tndeer.

If any of you old timers, remember me message me I'd like to hear from you

I drew Catoosa once years ago, and I swore I'd never go back without an ATV.

I can't remember how much early scouting you can do in the days leading up to it, but I remember the redneck extravaganza in an open field the night before.
RVs and campers were everywhere!
Thought I was at a NASCAR event with the proverbial "gentlemen, start your engines" atmosphere in the morning.

Plenty of land to go around for everybody there, but if you don't have
1) the means by which to get off the beaten path (hence the need for an ATV or 4x4), or you don't have
2) a scouted-in-advance area that requires a small hike and are super early to get there before shooting light,
then odds are, you'll either bump somebody else or you'll have somebody bump you before first light.

Amazing place, but it does require some homework and legwork and in my opinion, an ATV, for it to be enjoyable.

Good luck and Godspeed!

(I don't know if ATVs are still allowed, but I couldn't imagine so many people covering 80,000+ acres without vehicular assistance)
Found this, though:

I'm out here myself last hunt they were pestering doe's big time. Find some doe's is all I can say. I've hunted it for several years but I still don't have it figured out. I hope the bucks are in there feet
