Went out this afternoon to scout some new land. Saw some good sign;scratches, droppings, wing feathers. Got to a spot overlooking a creek bottom and a big corn field. I couldn't resist the urge to let out an owl hoot. GOBBBBBBBBBLLLLLEEEE!
Man, there is nothing like that sound ! Come on Turkey Season!

I have been making some birds call shy! lol
There are a TON of birds in a couple fields with cover crops just next to the road. I stopped there today and aggrivated a flock of gobblers for 15 minutes! No one is allowed to hunt this property, the city owns it! So I thought just in case someone sneaks in the backside maybe by the time turkey season comes, they will be call shy ;-) But it is a ton of fun to watch them gobble over and over!!
