Heavy Arrows Suck

I think he was drunk posting. lol. I've never shot anything but gold tips. Toughest arrow made. If they're too heavy try buying the right size next time.

I like around a 425 grain set up on my Destroyer set at 68 lbs and a 325-335 grain set up on my X-Force Axe 6 set on 60 lbs.

Nevermind...heavy arrows are great lol!! I was getting marginal broadhead flight with my Gold Tip Velocity Pros going 315 fps. The total arrow weight is 368 grains and with a Slick Trick I couldn't get groups up to my standards. I tried my Gold Tip Kinetic Pros that are 430 grains and they broadhead flight was much better. Arrow speed with 430 grain arrows is 295 fps.

I told you that it's not all about speed . :) Here is a suggestion . Once you get a good accurate setup , arrows , bow , etc. , stick with it for a while instead of changing your equipment so often ! I challenge you to keep your current setup for 3 years . By the end of 3 years , that bow/arrow setup will become an extension of your arm and you will have put plenty of deer on the ground .

I agree! I don't feel comfortable with a bow until I have to go through a year of hunting season with it. Practice an 3ds don't compare to shooting game.

But I thought you were supposed to change something before every shoot or hunt. ;) How else can a junkie get a fix??? :D You're just no fun at all. :(

Disclaimer- I am KIDDING (for all that might mistakenly take me seriously).

Don't listen to them. Change something every year. How else are you supposed to have any fun? Just shooting arrows at a target, you KNOW will be in tight groups is for those who are lazy.

I'm seriously kidding. Although the challenge of re-sighting everything is a little fun. Right?

I don't know a whole lot about arrows so I figure I'll ask someone who seems to know more than me... I have a Bowtech General, pulling about 62 lbs. I have been shooting Easton A/C/C carbon arrows & spitfire 85 gr broad heads for about 4 yrs now and I am down to 4. I need a good light arrow that shoot's good and I can't spend a fortune. I was a Richard's and they had a selection but didn't really know which way to go and the guy working there didn't seem to know which end points toward the deer... Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks
