special thanx to my master gunsmith,,

it will go down to 1.5 and up to almost 10 ounces ,,I do turn it down some testing loads off a bench but shooting in the field 6-8 ounces feels good to me,,LOL

Nice looking serious business rifle. The 6.5 x anything works up into a great rifle/shooter. How much money are we looking at in that setup as pictured? I guess if one has to ask its out of their league...

one guy at work gives me a hard time and said I may as well order replacement barrel now so it will be ready when this one is toast,,the line is 1500 rounds and the over under is 8 months,,I am gonna try and keep a log on this one,,

got my dies today ,just now waiting for Lapua Brass and Berger bullets and CCI450 primers,,should have it all Monday,,

I would think that you should get easy more than 1500 rounds down the barrel before needing a new one.

I took mine with me yesterday to MSSA, and only fired it 5 times @ 600. First shot low from cold bore, then a 1.390" 4 shot cluster. Love this Lapua Signature cartridge!! It outshot my 6BR that is still in the works. Need to drop a tenth or 2 more in the BR.

that sounds encouraging Tim,,I hope my Bartlien Barrel will just stay on 1/2 MOA plates,,what bullet were you shooting? I have 123 Scenars and 140 Hybirds coming tomorrow,,130`s are hard to find,,,

I may go down on Hwy 25 to the egg shoot in a couple weeks,,or whenever I get optics that I can see an egg at 500 yards,,I may go rob one of Daddys scopes,I know he has an 8-32 NF and 40x45 Leupold he aint using,,

The 130 Berger VLD Target +.010", 37 grains Millitary Pulldown sold by Hi Tech called Long Range Match, its supposed to be very similar to RL15. I`m waiting on Berger 130`s myself. I put an WTB add on 6BR.com and a few regulars came to my aid. I feel the 123`s would be my 2nd pick, they seem to shoot very small too. I have not tried but 2 bullets so far, the 140 Hybrids and the 130 VLD.

I tend to live in the if it ain't broke don't fix it world. I have had good luck with the 123 Secnars and 37.5 gr Varget.

This was my best group at 300 yards earlier in the week.
