Hero in a Half Shirt, Ezekiel Elliot, has literally put Buckeye Nation on his shoulders. His 3 TDs (55,65,75) against Indiana was nothing short of a rescue. 'Rescues' translates into Heisman votes. Take it to the bank!

· Trevone Boykin straight put the clown hat on Texas. Boykin had 5 TDs and 332 passing yards without even taking a fourth quarter snap — the guy was too busy on the sideline signing autographs (no joke).

· LSU's Leonard Fournette is the first SEC player in history to have three straight games with +200 rushing yards. Not only is that an amazing feat in it's own right but you have to put this into perspective, the Tigers' have only played THREE games to date. This parade has only begun! Case in point, LSU never appeared to be in trouble against the Eagles of Eastern Michigan (1-4), yet LSU intentionally down poured Leonard stats. This says something, Coach Les Miles is aiming to have 'Heisman Winner' added to his legacy. Fournette is on the loose.

· At his current rate, Baylor's Seth Russell will throw 60 TD passes — 60! It just might happen. Baylor hasn't flinched all year; Baylor very well could be undefeated going into mid-November when the Bears face off with Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., then TCU. This timetable bodes well for candidate Russell.

Honorable Mention:

· Baker Mayfield is your old school Roger Staubach. Runs around to pass, not to run. (One thing is for sure, Mayfield would be the best flag football player of all time.) Mayfield finished the day, against nationally ranked West Virginia, with 320 yards through the air and 3 TDs.

· Jared Goff wins again (33/45, 390 yds, 4 TD, 1 INT). I've said it once, I'll say it again (and again and again), they're going to build a statue of Jared Goff in Berkeley. Goff will have an opportunity to make a big splash next week as College Gameday visits Salt Lake City to highlight the Bears taking on the Running Utes.

· Derrick Henry has 10 straight games with a rushing TD. Alabama is back on track. Back in focus, back on track.

· Nick Chubb's third quarter 83 yard touchdown run helped infuse a 146 yard rushing day. This is Chubb's 13th straight game with 100+ rushing yards — effectively breaking Georgia's record previously held by Herschel Walker (I apologize if this the +10th time you've heard this stat). Unfortunately for Chubb and Bulldog fans, Georgia, as a team, stumbled backwards a few steps.

· 6'7″ Memphis QB Paxton Lynch is having himself one heckuva year (1535 passing yards, 10 TD, and 0 interceptions) . We get the feeling Lynch will be a frequent visitor on our Honorable Mention list. Lynch is on pace to capture a couple Heisman votes in December.

· A balanced Texas A&M wins top-25 showdown with Mississippi State 30-17. Kyle Allen throws for 322 Yds & 2 TD. BTW, Allen is only a sophomore.

Downgraded:

· Now can Chad Kelly please recite Tim Tebow's post-Ole Miss loss speech verbatim?

Injury Report:

· Dalvin Cook was knocked out of Saturday's game at Wake Forest because of an apparent hamstring injury. The injury appeared to occur on a routine pass play late in the first quarter. Cook caught the ball and ran to the sideline before coming up limp near the end of the run. It was a disappointing setback for Cook after his day started out so well with this 94-yard touchdown run on his first carry of the day.
