Heisman?

I don't know how you blow it by getting injured. We've known all along that Alabama probably has the 2 best qbs in college football right now.

Read a article where 10% of the voting block had allready voted before the game on Sat. Vegas is saying its going to be close but Tua Gets voted out because of the game.

Tua threw some heck of some passes . Receivers in mid field dropping balls? That should have never happened. He came through and got us close 21-to 28 and Hurts was able to close the deal after he got hurt. I don't know how he is not Heisman this year but we will see.

Looks like he won the Walter Camp Award for "the Best Player in College Football". I'm not sure if Walter Camp Winners are frequently Heisman winners too?

That discussion can go in circles.

Murray has more yardage but also had to play in all 4 quarters in all games. Tua may have hurt his chances by playing too good and running up scores early in the games. He didn't take a 4th quarter snap til late into the season. The offset to that is...had he played in all 4 quarters of those games...he likely would have far more yards BUT he might have also thrown a few more picks. It's the unknown guessing game.

Murray was the centerpiece of the whole Oklahoma offense. Take him out of the games and they lose big. Arguably...Bama could have still won their games without Tua...and actually did with the SEC Championship.

I hope Tua wins it but the sports media and commentators are really pushing for Murray. I'm really pushing for Quinnen Williams to pick him up and slam him a few times in the Bama/Oklahoma game. :) I mean concussion hits.

Do I think he "blew" it, no.
Do I think the media will do anything in their power to take anything they can from the SEC, yes.

Sidenote:
Is the Heisman a bs meaningless fake award that is just another mouthpiece for the liberals, yes.

I don't think taking something fron the SEC has anything to do with it. They gave it to Derrick Henry when Christian McCaffery should have won it.

And if they do want to take something from the SEC, Georgia was this year's fall guy.

I think Tua should win it, strength of conference alone with his numbers he puts up. Murray is a good QB but no defense is played with any of those teams. So he big numbers imo are skewed... Yeah Tua had a bad game against UGA but it wasn't all on him. His WR were dropping a bunch of easy passes. OK had to play OT against ARMY if that tells you anything...

IMO Tua wins it

Oh well, Tua should be the favorite next year. If Hurts transfers he may very well be another preseason Heisman favorite.

If Hurts transferred, wouldn't he have to sit out a year?

That rule was took out of place this year.

If he is a grad transfer then he would be good. Otherwise I THINK he would have to sit out a year. I could definitely be wrong

Since he would be a grad transfer he plays immediately. Otherwise he could have only played in 4 games and then transfer.
