Wondering if I should try to get Helix on my new arrows (probably Easton ST Epic 400s). Opinions, please.

I shoot Slick Tricks on 28 1/2" arrows with just over 60 lbs draw weight. Wisker Biscuit rest.

Last year I re-fletched my old arrows with the NAP shrink tube Blazers. I twisted the vanes right after dipping to put helix on them, but that un-scientific method left all the arrows slightly different. Still got decent groups, but the vanes sure got dirty going through the rest! No wrickles or warp, though, and I'm not changing rests.

I wouldn't because they are so short. Use straight jig, but off-set slightly.

how do you off-set it slightly? Im going to do my first ones here soon, and im using the 2 inch blazers as well

I shoot the 2" blazers. Used to straight fletch. Last year went to a 3 degree right helical. Definately more stability IMO. Also used to shoot through WB never had any problems, yes the vanes got streaks on them but never effected performance. I have since switched to a QAD fall away still shooting the helical and really like them.

Depends on the jig. I use a bitz. You just have to adjust the jig. It should tell you how to adjust the jig in the manual. If you aren't using a bitz then I don't know.
