Ok...as some of you may have seen in the general section. I have permission to hunt a small slab of land. Its nothing huge, but has a little bit of woods...a creek at the edge of the woods, and some open fields. Me and another guy walked the land yesterday but didnt really see anything but some scratching in the leaves. The people who own the land and live next to it speak of seeing lots of turkey through there.

Now here is my question...now that I have permission, what do I need to do? Go there early one morning and sit? or go by there after a work shift and see what I can see in the late afternoon? Guess I just need to know what I might need to do to get on even seeing a turkey or finding out where they may be.

Go in early and listen for them. Stay as long as you can because if they're not roosting there they are at least using the area at some point in the day if the landowners are seeing them. If you can spend all day do it. As for the rain get to a field as they'll go there. I've killed a couple in the rain
