UTK will not entertain Hugh Freeze after all of the title 9 woes they have had.
Freeze is a pipedream. Will Friend won't get anybody excited, but does offer some stability and experience as OC. And CSU did have a big drop off in production since he left.

Reports are out stating that Pruitt met with Freeze on Wednesday. In my opinion this would be a huge get for Pruitt.

Wayne, I am all vol through and through, I'm just tired of being anywhere from mediocre to totally irrelevant. I grew up in the 90's and remember the good ole days where top teams took notice when Tennessee came to town. Tn has all the money and all the resources to compete with top tier programs but they can't keep doing it with the crap show they have been running for the last decade or two. I hope they get Freeze, but like others said, I am sure he is in a wait and see pattern to see if Locksley leaves Bama. If he does, Freeze will go there. Funny how Bama is never scared to take these coaches, but UT is always worried about this or that.
If we can get him take the job before Locksley leaves, we should do it, and if we have to pay we should do that too. That is what it takes to win, and other programs know that and do what it takes. TN will continue to lose until they start doing it, IMO.
