I was walking through a hayfield going hunting this morning. I came up on a big clump of grass that was real thick and taller than the rest. Probably from cow manure. I was a yard or less from it and a hen came flying out. She just about gave me a heart attack. Since I was that close I went on and had a look. I bump several hens off the nest already but they didn't let me get that close before they flew up.
