Henry to the NFL

Hope he does well. He's a beast. What sets him apart from Lacy, Richardson and Ingram is that he has an unbelievable work ethic and no significant history of injuries.
The being said, he's more of a power runner with speed vs a quick change-of-direction guy. He was able to run over a lot of college defenders, but that might not be the case in the NFL. Of course, if whoever drafts him doesn't have a line that can run-block, it'll be a moot point anyway.

Agree this is why the titans will spend the first overall pick on the Oline (tunsil OT from ole miss)

Don't think they will spend the first two picks on the Oline.

Henry has a high 2 round grade a lot of experts have the titans taking him in round 2.

Gives mariota protection in round 1, and a weapon in round 2.

Titans did take a back in round 2 pick 54 in 2014. Didn't work out to well :bash:

Bishop sankey has not panned out so well will the titans try again in round 2 this year? Or will they take the best Receiver to give mariota a weapon. Kendall Wright is a free agent after this season.

True they was two backs taking in the first round last year. Todd Gurley played pretty dang well.

Ezekiel Elliott is the only HB with a first round grade at the moment In the 2016 draft.

Ouch!

Before the Heisman ceremony in December, former Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants scout Dan Hatman told the Florida Times-Union that Henry looked like a fourth-round pick after watching several games.

One scout told NFL.com's Albert Breer that Henry is "a bigger, slower DeMarco Murray," and isn't in the same class as Todd Gurley or Leonard Fournette.

Eight straight Heisman winners have been selected in the first round, but it appears some scouts have issues with Henry's running style, despite his power.

They definitely need a runnin back, but yeah without an o-line Henry would be wasted talent. The last 2 first round lineman have been bust, with exception to Lewan sorda this year. Y'all really think they should do it again? Why not try to get couple veteran lineman. They do need a #1 receiver. Need couple good secondary players too.

love NFL football, but I dont think Henry has the NFL skills to get drafted early. He is straightline runner who is projected to run in mid 4.6's. That is good enough for SEC ball. but maybe not NFL talent.

^^^^ IMO if Henry didn't play behind an Alabama O-Line he'd have been just another run of the mill RB. The couple games I watched him play start to finish I came away feeling like he wasn't nearly as good as advertised. I saw him get taken down 1 on 1 in the open field multiple times by Clemson DBs. That shouldn't happen to elite running backs.

In all fairness to Henry he had 2 and 3 man coverage and still had some pretty respectable stats at the end of the game.

Alabama knew Clemson was going to do that to Henry and worked some plays around that. It's oneof the reasons some of the other Alabama players were key players that night when they had not been all season long.

I think his Heisman will give him some added push. It would not in my books if I was drafting but a lot of these owners have huge egos and it strokes them to to say they have a Heisman.

I see him winding up in Dallas or Denver before I do Tn. But anything can happen in the draft.
