What times have you noticed hens leaving gobblers? Have you gotten anything to gobble back after they have been henned up?

I am planning on trying a different tactic in the morning and heading up to the farm about 9am. I am going to walk around and make some soft calls and see if a gobbler is wondering around by himself. Typically on my place, things go silent around 7...theres been about a 30 minute window of gobbling and then silence.

Has anyone had any luck mid-morning? If so, about what time seems good and what tactics do you use to get birds close?

I know where a a couple toms are roosting. I have tried setting up with a Jake decoy across the field and just hoping he sees the decoy to no avail.

Do you call to them while they are gobbling on the roost? I have been told not toncall to them on the roost.

Where I have been there are still a bunch of gobblers, well a few less :), that don't have hens yet. The henned up stuff is behind, but will happen extremely quickly here, if not already.
