Wow I just read the article. Did you know that Heuple played at Oklahoma? That's the gist of the article. But hey, the writer did what he intended with the click-bait tha sucked PDB right in, and like a puppet he couldn't resist posting a link. Then, I got sucked in. Sneaky TN sports writer :D !

I believe couches will burn in the streets again if it does indeed happen.
If I were Heupel I'd stay put because he has a friendly AD which goes a long way in getting what you need to be successful.
 
I agree I think his relationship with Danny White will go a long way. Also, it's UT and we haven't done a coaching search in damn near a year so sure folks are ready for another one

The message is if he leaves he owes UT $8M. Oklahoma could pay it if they wanted him bad enough, but it's way out of line with most contracts. UT wasn't going to get burned again with another Lane Kiffen situation. Your article actually makes it look more likely he isn't going anywhere.

The conversation goes something like this.

The vols fanbase and the media has done a pretty good job of trumping up Heupel season at the vols. Boasting how he able to take the unranked vols bowling with a weak roster and players flying out of the portal. Meanwhile the vols are still waiting the outcome of the NCAA investigation from Phil and company. It appears they are loosing their star QB and going to have to rely on over throw Milton since they lost the stud in the portal. And now it seems the potential of loosing the coach that has taking them to the crapfest bowl could be leaving for a Ranked Team. Pretty much sums up the season for the vols right there from someone without orange glasses on.

Yet you still want to talk trash about ALABAMA which is 11-1 and still in contention to go to a national championship. ALABAMA who still has a Heisman Candidate QB and regardless how this season ends will retain much of our very young offense, retain our Heisman potential QB , Retain much of veteran defense and will probably be ranked #1 in recruiting next season. And guess what. ALABAMA Coach..Nick Satan as you like to call him is going no where.
