"I believe the hype this year much, much, much more than other years.
I still wonder if the QB is legit. I think he will be okay, just not sure how much over okay he will be. If he's legit, then I think they got a great shot to win the East. He is surrounded by a few weapons.
I think Week 2 against OU will be a good test. Week 4 and the streak in the Swamp will be another good test. Lose to UF and Arkansas, Georgia, & Alabama's rushing attacks are coming the next three weeks and it could come off the rails"

Take it how you want but this is a Gator insider.... :). This guy is normally spot on.... :tu:

What is his definition of "okay" :stir: :D ?

The hype is real, but I still think we are a year away from being the favorite. We may beat a team we shouldn't, UGA or Bama, but then lose to a team we shouldn't, SC or KY. I'm just ready for the ride to begin!

Well he was legit enough to beat that bad SC team down 14 with two minutes left.

Isnt that the same SC that beat UF in the Swamp?

Dobbs will be much improved from last season as will the team as a whole.

"As an adjective, "OK" means "adequate", "acceptable"

The bigger question is what can the fans accept???

:? So 50% pass completion, with 50+ yds rushing ;) :D ?

The knowledgeable fan's will accept continued improvement. You can't put a number on that, but you know it when you see it.

I don't care what the lunatic fringe will "accept", and thankfully no one else will either, so all they can do is yap and whine.

Every team has them. Just look at the anti-McElwain faction among Gator nation. There are quite a few of them :D !

Yep.... Fans with common sense should be in the wait and see mode... :)

Gator worrying about Tennessee when he has plenty to worry about his Gators, when most of the media thinks the Gators will finish next to last in the East, that is something to worry about.Even Kentucky is picked over them, you remember Kentucky dont you gator.Kentucky actually beat Florida last year when the play clock had clearly expired on the Gators! Most of the media dont even mention Florida as a threat this year,I know I'm much more worried about Bowling Green, they won 8 games last year!!

You must believe everything you read, you are the one who posted this thread about a Florida Insider and his opinion of Tennessee,I sure wouldnt believe a Florida fans opinion about the Vols!!Said he didnt know if Dobbs was legit,at that point I knew he was a clown!! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

An outside opinion is sometimes better since they are not looking through "orange color glasses." I thought his evaluation was fair.... :D I think he was taking in consideration the only teams (Vandy, Ky, & SC) that Dobbs had beat so far and even CBJ didn't think he was ready to play last season.... :tu:

Here's what Dobbs did against Vandy last season:

Comp ATT. Yards Pass % TD Picks
@Vanderbilt W 24-17 11 20 92 55.0 0 2

Gator, you only want to tell part of the story,Dobbs ran roughshod on Iowa and got the MVP and you didn't mention Dobbs outscoring Alabama when he went in the game

Comp ATT. Yards Pass % TD Picks

Iowa was a very low team that had an avg or below avg. Record for their conference.

I wouldn't hang my hat on the Bama game since Bama was never in trouble of losing that game. Again, Dobbs has only beat KY, Vandy, and SC. If it makes it look better, I will throw Iowa in there.... :)

Lol at you again, you leaving out a game where Dobbs was MVP was on purpose gator :D

And Dobbs looked very bad against Vandy. This is why many of us aren't sold on Dobbs. Not consistent and below passing percentage. If a team makes him throw, he's not very good.
