I held pretty high standards for myself last year and passed on deer around his size, but I'm thinkin if he shows himself in velvet, I may stick him. Tag soup is bitter after the 2nd year. He might make 120 but probably closer to 115".

He's dang near identical to a buck I found dead last year that was 3.5 (scored 113) although this year's 8 looks as if he may have a smaller body. I'll need more pics to tell.

I'm also hunting a buddy's farm in Muhlenburg Co, and he's getting some pretty good bucks on camera. It all depends on if he lets me buck hunt there this fall.

Yeah he might go 115 gross... i got one 112 gross similar in size. I'd kill him for sure... thankfully we got a 3 buck limit and you can still kill another if a 140 walks by. It's easy to say you'd pass him when you see pics, but when he is under your stand, it's a different story.

Are you trying to rub it in the KY boy's face? :D
oh dang! did not look at the OP. :D Sorry infoman! Yeah in KY I'd let him walk, except maybe for the tag soup factor.

 No worries. It's a whole different (and frustrating) ball game up here. Compared to what I grew up seeing in Hawkins Co, this buck is a giant. And I don't take that for granted.
