I wonder if Hevishot picked the wrong time to put out a sub par batch of shells. The early success of the longbeards coming at the exact time everyone is having trouble with the new Hevishot could severely hurt their business. I for one don't feel sorry for them. Selling a premium product at a premium price, gaining loyalty, then cutting corners is unacceptable to me. I have enough Hevishot on hand for a couple years. After that, who knows what I'll shoot.
 
I have two cases of the old mag blends and will continue to shoot them but I am for sure stocking up on the long beards before they change them !! So I have back up shells
 
I shot the new batches today and they shot the same out of my guns. glad they did I was about to make an order to nitro but I wanted a good warm day I was actually off before I did. I hate to hear the people having trouble out of them, just glad it isn't me. I will say I wouldn't hesitate to pick a box of long beards off crazy patterns with those for lead. I still have several old batches of hevi and some new ones so I am good for a while.

I don't know for sure. Hevishot says absolutely nothing has changed. a lot of folks are saying the wad changed.

ive heard mixed to and talked to several people about it at the nwtf convention. like i said mine shot the same just check your gun before you go.
 
I bought 2 boxes for a new (to me) shotgun the other day, its 8 or 9 yr old and never had the barrel cleaned. I shot 198-10"
