thanks swede....I will stop by there tommorrow after work. From what I have read the hevi7 shot is up there with some of the nitros....Just tryin to save a few bucks
I bet they put out some awesome pellet counts with all those #7's, but I have to wonder how far down range #7's retain enough energy to make a clean kill. Anybody have an opinion?
I've had several people telling me 7"s were not big enough to kill cleanly at longer ranges. I've even heard someone say they know a guy that bought a turkey and shot it at 40 yds and hevi 7's didn't kill it. I'll have to try for myself. People have been killing birds farther than that for years with #6 lead loads consistently. I had 314 in a 10" circle and could have easily moved the circle a little more and gotten close to 350 but who cares. I like the idea of having about double the pellets on target over a #4 or #5.
