Anyone fish the Hiwassee around Reliance to the power house area? Wondering about the gneration and any fishing reports. Thinking about meeting my son there for the weekend or hitting North GA streams for some trout.

Check TVA for a generation schedule. You do not want to be wadding the river when water is released. It has good fishing but be sure to consult he TWRA fishing guide for areas on the river that are lure only. part but not all, of the area upstream from Reliance upstream to the Powerhouse is a lure only section.
There is no bait restriction. TVA has a app for generation, it's Appalachia powerhouse NOT Hiawassee. Be prepared for a crowd on weekends!!!

Fished the Conasauga River in the Cohutta Wilderness Area yesterday. Didn't do well. Fish extremely wary and hard to find.
Fished Holly Creek in the Cohutta Wildlife Management Area today. Did pretty good on the wild trout and did't haveto hike in 2-3 miles before starting fishing like yesterday. Very enjoyable day today.
