Consider in 2022 Lane Kiffin was #27 in recruiting and jumped to #13 in 2023 and gets a pay jump to 9 million? I would say those 4 of the last 5 losses did not hurt his stock any.

ALABAMA has its worse season in 15 years but comes out #1 in the recruiting rankings. 11 points higher than the team that is likely to win the Natty this year. (Georgia).
