Hornady lock n load ap

Anyone got a Hornady lock n load ap press. Got some questions about how it's supposed to work. My neighbor brought me one that her dad had and I can't get it to operate like it should. Trying to see if something it locked up or I just need to muscle thru it.

I don't have the app but that looks pretty rusted up on the ram and plate. Have you tried cleaning them up? Disassembly should be pretty simple. May have to use some pbblaster or penetrating oil around the ram.

I just got it yesterday evening. It's rusted a bit. What I can't figure out is what's supposed to move and turn the shell holder plates.

Hornady has great customer service, I would probably call them.
