Started getting pics of this doe back in February 2013, shortly after I started running trail cameras.

Even back then, she was different from the rest of the does, which more or less look the same. She is shorter and smaller than most adult does, has a stumpy Roman nose, longer belly hair than usual, and somewhat bony and aged looking.

Now that I see the pics from 3 1/2 years ago, I realize how much thinner she's gotten. I thought she looked old back then.

Summer 2014 she got ticks so bad around her right eye, it swelled half way shut and permanently scarred the area around her eye. Since then, that's the main giveaway when I first see new pics of her. (Can't find pic right now)

Last year, she looked so haggard I thought she wouldn't make it through the winter. She got a cyst on her right jawbone as well as the scarred eyelid.

Now she's back this year and still looks just as rough, but she's still kicking. Seems to hang out with another doe often this year.

Her appearances have always been fairly spontaneous, and often at night, so it would be mostly just luck if I were to get a shot at her. I believe she is very old and is up near the top of the list with the best bucks I have on camera.

Wow she does look old. Have they dug out a big hole or what? Looks like you set off some TNT!
