Doing some scouting on Sat morning and watching a ridgeline that consistently holds turkeys.
I hear a lone gobbler fly down and start working his way North through the trees on the hillside. Gobbles every 20yds or so.
At the same time, a lone hen is about 50yds down the hillside from him, in the open, working her way South. She is calling continually.
They about ran into each other, but both pass each other likes ships in the night, not once even acknowledging the other's presence, and keep calling.
Gonna be a long season for some of these birds.
