Meaning what's y'all's set up with a recurve . Ground blind,Tree stand ect . I image with a longer and slower recurve or long bow . You have to pay closer attention to the hunting set up . As I am planning to give traditional archery a shot. I have been thinking about this

New Tribes Aero tree saddle with climbing sticks. No stand to hit your limbs on. Can shoot 360 around the tree. Comfortable. The best part is that you can keep the tree between yourself and the deer until you are ready to shoot.

I 'test drive' a ground blind when possible or rely on another hunter's experience with a particular one.
otherwise I use lock on stands. I've used climbers with the seat and climb bar. when I get set up I would draw my bow and check clearance. placing that bar down lower than what you would normally sit at or swinging it around to the back side and using a strap on seat is a couple of options to look into.

I've looked into the tree saddle once but after watching the video i'm not sure my knees would handle the constant tension and pressure of resting against the tree or standing on the steps. but I do like the versatility that it has.

Back in the 80s when tree stands first got popular & tried them a couple seasons, they just aint for me, used to use scarp wood & tree tops left behind from loggers to build a hide or blind from, try to have sevral done a few months before season & make them roomy enuff to function in.

Havent done that in years, maybe I should, it was fun.
