do you put the first line at 20 yards or 25 or 30 or 10 or what?
i have my first line at 25, 30 is a little below that and 40 is my second line.
It's a Barnette Quad 400. Are xbow scopes adjustable? Just wondering if I can improve my system.

Most crossbows will shoot to point of aim at both 10 and 20 yards so I recommend setting your top line at 20, second line at 30 and third line at 40 yards and so on. Just be sure and shoot targets at those designated ranges to be sure. And yes, they are adjustable just like rifle scopes.

What he said. :) The thing about crossbows at longer ranges it sure seems like they loose energy QUICK! Maybe that is just my observation. I may get out and shoot mine further just to see, I'm limited to only 30 yards at my house.

There is a place I hunt that I could potentially shoot at a deer at longer ranges. I'll have to take some targets out and try some long range shots to see how it does.
