OK, I just cashed in some of my Marriott points and got a couple Cabelas gift cards and purchased a MOULTRIE GAME SPY M-100 6.0 MP CAM.

This is my first camera. I am sure when it arrives in a week or so the instructions will say how high to place it on a tree, but I am curious now. How high do you place yours? I assume there is a distinct advantage to placing it higher to keep it out of reach of trespassers with sticky fingers.

I also picked up a MOULTRIE 30 GAL. BREAKDOWN HOPPER so I can entice the squirrels, raccoons, and whatever else may be up there.

This year will be my first year hunting my property.

Thanks

If I only had a couple of cameras, those cameras were IR instead of black-flash, and I was setting them up to monitor a feeder, I would mount them high and point them down.

Glad to hear mounting it up high isn't a problem. I really don't think this land gets a lot of traffic right now. It's mainly hills and ravines with some oaks. I've had a TR out for the past couple of months. I've noticed the TR has been moved around but I've seen one set of tracks coming in to it. I randomly put out some No Plow near the TR but I can't tell it is being hit.

I guess I'll see! Thanks
