I suppose the plus in having the camera was telling why I missed. I have a suspicion that trying to film and get the shot at the same time might cause me to miss more, but I have also missed in the past with no camera. I know for sure I have missed at least 2 or 3 times on a moving bird while I wasn't even filming. This appears to be a rushed shot and you can see the pattern hit the woods above and behind his head. I can only partially blame the gun - the new sight had it patterning just a hair high, but today I adjusted it to shoot lower. I'm probably going to hit the woods between jobs tomorrow and I'm not sure if I will want to bring the camera or not. I do know that if I get a turkey in range, it will either die, or walk away without a shot fired.
Watch this and tell me what you think... I will delete the video after a little while, it hurts me to watch. I would like some opinions on the shot... my take is that I completely rushed it, shot a moving bird and paused for the shot causing me to hit behind him. The sight might be to blame for hitting high, but that could have been my fault as well. Next time I aim for the neck not the head. Oh and the follow up shot I didn't show, was off screen anyway. I shot through too much brush which I didn't think of until i walked through all the bushes to look for him.
