How is the gobbling in your area?

Sat. morning about 7:45 they started on Loudon/Roane line near the river, saw two large gobblers from a distance and counted 36 turkeys overall. Checking the other side of the farm this coming sat.

Planning on going Saturday morning to the lease to listen and I am going to go to LBL sunday morning to listen. They are starting to form together so I am sure the gobbling will pick up here soon.

Been out the past few mornings and haven't heard a single bird yet. Still think it's a bit early but it's shaping up to be a great opener IMO.

A friend of mine went to our lease yesterday morning and heard 6 or 7 different gobblers gobbling on the roost at daylight they shut up when they hit the ground we haven't been seeing any hens they haven't showed up yet? All gobblers on our farm right now & there still bunched up in small groups of 5 to 10 birds per flock is what we are seeing on our trail cams. We need several days of warm weather & sunshine & I think it's going to break loose!

No turkeys in my home area to gobble. For the past 5-6 years after they break up in winter we usually have a gobbler within hearing distance and 3 or 4 hens trying to nest on my land. I assume they are always uncessful, haven't seen a poult on my land or within a 10+ mile radius in probably 10 years. I normally have a about 5 left over hens that lost the nest or poults(I assume)that use my food plots and pasture land in the summer months.

I am fortunate enough to have a decent spot about an hour away though.

I have the same 10 or so toms on my place everyday. Have not seen a single hen or heard any gobbling to speak of. Hope that doesn't mean all the toms leave to go find hens in the next few weeks.
