We have a place that's 90 acres. They started a timber cut back in Feb but had to pull out due to wet conditions. They just came back last week and cut Monday-Thurs. They only thinned several acres last week but it was near prime roosting areas. Some areas that were thick with pine are now heavily thinned.

Will I be wasting my time trying to cut there this week?

In my experience turkeys aren't very affected by timbering they usually go about their business and adjust to the activity

I'd be in there now

I once killed a gobbler that was shock gobbling at chainsaws and falling trees. He was only 150 yards away from where the cutting was going on.

i have had turkey fly into trees within 30yrds of me twice while cutting firewood, i think it attracts them becuase i never see turkeys here on my place.
