How many of you still hanging in with the BOW?

I had one of my best archery seasons to date. Taking 8 total deer and losing another with the bow. But..... All does. Opening day of muzzleloader found a nice 4 yr old mid 130's 10 point at a massive 15 yds away. All though I was very happy and grateful to the lord for my buck. I was sick I didn't have my Hoyt in hand. Again opening afternoon of rifle found another 4 yr old at 28 yds away. This time a nice 8. I am hanging up the guns and going back to my first love. Just curious of how many of y'all bow hunt through gun season?

I keep my xbow in my shooting house all season.. I didnt get to hunt but 1 day during the bow season.. I had a shot at 40 yards opening morning on a big doe.. I had been watching her for a while.. she was spooked and knew something wasnt right.. when she got to 40 yards.. i put the 50 yard scope notch on her and shot a foot over her back.. I guess I was tore up too.. lol..

Shot a doe last Friday during the Mo. Firearms season . Almost got a shot at a nice 8 point , but he was chasing a doe In circles near my stand and wouldn't offer a good shot .
I shoot a more forgiving bow at a lower draw weight when the temps get real cold during the late season . Makes a big difference in the ability for me to draw back in the stand when muscles are cold .

I have never hunted deer with a gun. I just traded for a 243 Savage I put a youth stock on it to take the boys with the gun. I might take it if I go with a buddy.

just shot a doe opening morning with the rifle, but all 5 deer before that were with the bow and I will continue to use it through the rest of the season especially since I have a bow-only property to hunt.

I hammered this 140lb doe yesterday morning with bow. Guess I'll take my rifle tomorrow. Im not bow only, but it is my passion and I use it most of the time. I've killed 3 with a bow & 1 with muzzleloader this year.
