How many birds do you usually see on an average day of turkey hunting? hens and gobblers

4-8 if I am lucky

Yea just depends normally somewhere around 10-20, but can be a lot more or less just varies a lot.

Sometimes zero, sometimes tons. I only wish to ever see one, the one laying dead on the ground. I judge my hunts based on birds heard, and birds worked. Seeing is bad news for me as a woods hunter.

I have only heard 3 birds gobble in 3 years.

I was watching 11 gobblers in different groups all at the same time a couple of days ago. Too bad I was hunting without a gun that day, since one of them had 2 thick 10.5" beards. I actually would have shot him had he come in.
