Decided that my turkey gun is freaking heavy at 12 lbs....is this what althea avg turkey gun is weighing....I'm wanting to go to a shorter barrel gun and cut some weight

My Benelli m2 20ga is right at 6lbs. Beretta al390 12ga is close to 8. Franchi affinity is light and half the cost of the benelli and pretty much the same gun if you're considering something new

I've got a 20 ga double that weighs 5-10. My 12 gauges are both 8ish # or so. The 20 murders your shoulder with federal HW though.

What are you toting that weighs 12#? A punt gun?

I don't know, it's heavy though. I need to buy a new battery for my fish scale, lol

A new England arms 12 ga

Take the rod out of the butt stock. Gets rid of a lot of weight. But will kick more. I had one of those. Loved it except it would loosen my teeth when I shot it. Kickingest gun I ever owned.
Lol. Even more than a 835?
