I went out this afternoon and sat down in an area where I've busted some birds off roost in the morning. At about 6:30 I saw one fly up about 100 yds from me and then two or three more. I didn't stay much longer because I was afraid I'd end up right in the middle of where they were trying to roost. I know there were more, but I didn't see what any of them were. I know that I need to be there in the morning, but it'll be hard to come in any other way except the way I usually would and it's pretty narrow. My question is.........Should I try to get between where they came from and roosted or should I just sit close to where I watched them from this evening (which is opposite from the way they came in)??

Go to the tree and shoot them off roost. :D

:D

If I was graceful enough to get under the dang things without them hearing me I might consider it...... I must sound like bigfoot coming through the woods or something. I spook everything in the woods. I just watched some hunting show with some guys talking back and fourth while a buck was right under the stand.........I call "petting zoo" deer on that junk. :D

I went in and set up this morning just down from where I was yesterday evening. Daylight came and there were three gobbling their heads off.........ACROSS THE LAKE!! . There was already someone over there or I would have tried to make my way over there. So I got the privilege to sit and listen to someone else call one up and shoot by 7:00. I walked a little, but didn't hear or see anything (on my side of the lake anyway). The car that was there when I got there was gone so I assume he got him. Well, let's go to church and ask the Lord for forgiveness for all the fowl words I had toward turkey hunting this morning.
