How u guys aging longbeards?

Was off a tad lol. Updated with the correct info

Jakes = nub
2 years = 1/2-7/8
3 years = 7/8-1"
4+ = +1" but my experience is more in the +1 1/8 range

These are from NWTF but i would add 1/8 to each for easterns Specificly

As a ball park guide

Where I'm at, the 2 year olds will carry up to 1" spurs. Any bird with more than a 1" spur is at least 3. I try to age them beyond that based on bodyweight and beard thickness.

A 3 year old bird will have longer than 1" spurs because some 2 year olds push 1". 2 year olds spurs are getting sharp but they are still a bit stumpy and not really curved much. I don't know how to tell between a 3 and 4 year old bird, or if there is even an accurate way to tell by spur length alone.

Yeah, I always figure anything in the 1 1/16 to 1 3/16 range to be 3 yr. olds and 1 1/4 and up to be 4 or older. I'm sure that is not alway true, kind of just what I go by with the birds around here.
