was thinking about going for a morning hunt tomarrow but not sure. what effect will this cold spell have on them? any?

Nobody knows, no matter what they say.

If you have the time go, if you don't, don't go.

Turkeys are insane and nothing they do makes sense. They gobbled well this morning in a blizzard and 30 mph winds, and one would have died if the hens didn't steal him away from me.

Today was the antithesis of a bad morning in the turkey woods weather wise and the birds acted as if it was a perfect spring morning.

Again, turkeys are insane.

Agreed. I'm going in the morning.

People assume that cold weather shuts them down which is not so.Every year the most gobbles I hear in one morning is cold, clear and frosty. The Least is always warm and cloudy at daylight.Cant killem in Bed!!!!!!!!!

I think the question should be. How will the cold affect the hunters? Ha I they may light the timber up and they may not hard animal to tell about. If I didn't have to work I would go.

I'm going.

To me it's no different than deer hunting the rut. When they are in love, nothing else seems to matter.

And I dang sure can't kill one from the house!
